The release says it was four times the national average. The entire cargo in the vessel, 52,500 tonnes of coking coal imported by the Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Ltd (the Vizag steel plant), was discharged in 27 hours.
The new port has, so far, handled 215 vessels and crossed the 10-million tonne cargo mark recently.
