port_cargo_thumb_thumb_thumb.jpgJinzhou Port Co., Ltd., a port operator based in the northeastern Chinese city of Jinzhou, Liaoning Province, said in a statement made on May 27 that it was looking to set up a coal dock along with Inner Mongolia-based Siklingelei Baiyinhua Coal-fired Electricity, Datang International Power Generation, and China Guodian Corporation. The four companies will hold 33%, 53%, 10% and 4% of the joint venture respectively.
The establishment of the new coal dock will give Jinzhou Port more leverage to reach its goal of building up a 100-milolion-ton energy port.
Jinzhou Port is principally engaged in the provision of cargo handling, storage and shipping services. The company operates its port businesses through three segments: petroleum and chemical products transportation, container transportation and general cargo transportation.
It provides the loading/unloading and storage services for coal, fertilizers, cereals, steels, cements, nonferrous metals, stones and others as its general cargo transportation business.
