Xinjiang to produce 80 mln t coal in 2009

Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region in Northwest China plans to produce 80 million tons of coal in 2009, according to the Regional Coal Bureau. Of the total, five major state-owned coal enterprises in the region, including Shenxin, Luxin, Xukuang, Shanxi Coking Coal and Yankuang will account for 39.45 million tons, and 272 local coalmines for 23.91 million tons.
