Oslo Marine Group to open Zasnits - Vyborg line and to start container handling at Onega terminal within 2-3 months, the Group's President Vitali Archangelski told according to RBC. According to Mr. Archangelski, cargo will be delivered from Hamburg to Zasnits by trains rented by Oslo Marine. Then it is to be transported by the Group's vessels to Vyborg. Oslo Marine Group has already signed an agreement with TransContainer on this supply chain.Mr. Archangelski says Vuborg is to be considered as the transit port only. Cargo is to be stored at dry ports. By 2009-2010, shipping company of the Group is to acquire 20 vessels. As of today it operates 3 vessels.By summer 2008, the group plans to start container transshipment at its terminal Onega in St. Petersburg. The company is to diversify Onega operation as transshipment of automobiles is quite a complicated business. The terminal is to be enlarged to handle over 220,000 Mazda, Nissan and Citroen cars in 2008.Oslo Marine Group was set up in 1999. As of today, the group is a multifunctional structure engaged in different sphere mainly insurance, leasing, real estate, treatment and sale of timber, port services. The holding's consolidated assets total RUR 10 billion.
