vietnamflag7_thumb_thumb_thumb.jpgDow Jones reported that Vietnam's coal production in November2008 is likely to fell 19.2% from the same month of 2007 to 3.185 million tonnes. As per a revised data from Geological Statistic Office of Vietnam, the month's output declined 7% from 3.424 million tonnes in October, 2008. It produced an estimated 37.28 million tonnes in the January 2008 to November 2008 period, down 3.3% from the same period in 2007.

Electricity output in November 2008 is projected to have risen 7.5% on year to 5.9 billion KWH. In October 2008, Vietnam had produced 6.4 billion KWH. Between January and November2008, Vietnam produced an estimated 67.9 billion KWH up by 11.6% YoY.
