Today marks the inauguration of the annual meeting of marine technology in Hellas, with the respective institute presenting its work and organizing three separate sessions and a round-table with prominent speakers. Hellenic Shipping News has sponsored the edition of an Annual Bible, with all the studies undergone by members of the Institute on various issues around marine technology. The Bible will also be presented on the course of the conference, which will be held in the Piraeus Port Authority Exhibition Center. Among the issues to be discussed are the following:  Recent developments in loading/unloading systems’ design for cement ships, presented by Mrs.M.Varvate, of Naftotrade Shipping,  Newbuilding contracts: Technical Risks and management, by D.G.Capaintzis Ltd  Alaysis of large tanker accidents, by A.Papanikolaou and E.IliopoulouThe round-table's theme revolves around the safety of passenger shipping, its present and its future. Among the participants are Nikos Kavallieros, director of the Union of Passengershipping Companies, Theodoros Kontes, Operations Fleet Manager, Majestic International Cruises Inc. and Francesco Fanciulli,  Ship Manager - Passenger Ships, Registro Italiano Navale.The conference has been organized by Dynamic New Advertising (DNA).
