solvang3.jpgThe gas carrier owner/operator Solvang ASA and Neu Gas Shipping have established International Gas Carriers (IGC) to be responsible for the commercial operation of the two groups’ fully refrigerated LPG carriers. The ownership and technical operation of the vessels will still remain with the respective company. IGC, where Ola Solheim has been appointed as general manager, will control a fleet of nine gas carriers with capacities of between 53,314 cbm and 82,000 cbm. The new company will also take over eleven newbuildings which are on order in South Korea for delivery by June 2009, with capacities of between 60,000 cmb and 82,000 cbm.
