Azeri oil shipping from Turkey’s Ceyhan port rose by 6.5% in October

SOCAR-logo2The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) has announced next statistic data on Azeri oil export via main export pipeline Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) named after Heydar Aliyev.


The SOCAR informs that this October it was shipped 2.815 million tons of Azeri oil from Turkish port Ceyhan against 2.644 million tons in September, 2.547 million tons in August, 2.742 million tons in July, 2.986 million tons in June, 2.653 million in May, 2.9 million tons in April, 3.011 million tons in March, 2.9 million tons in February and 2.5 million tons in January of the year.  As a result, in October the shipping rose by 6.49% versus the previous month.
At that, following this October 2.2 million tons of overall shipments fell on the share of the State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan (SOFAZ) against 1.96 million in September, 1.561 million tons in August, 2.217 million tons in July, 2.168 million tons in June, 1.906 million tons in May, 2.5 million tons in April, 2.166 million in March and 1.917 million tons in February. The entire income from this part of exports will go to the assets of SOFAZ.
“In 2011 shipping still totals 27.57 million tons,” it was informed.
Last year shipping reached 37.3 million tons against shipping 36.3 million tons in 2009.
The 2009 best indicator was registered in May (3.5 million tons). This indicator was repeated in May and July of 2010.
From the very beginning of BTC pipe operation from mid-2006 to 1st November 2011 export from Ceyhan totaled 169.506 million tons of Azeri oil.
