sci_india.jpgShipping Corporation of India announced that has signed 2 shipbuilding contract. The company has signed contract with Jiangsu Rengsheng Heavy Industries Co for acquisition of 2 nos. Very Large Crude Oil Carriers (VLCCs) of about 317,000 DWT each.
It has also signed contract with STX (Dalian) Shipbuilding Co for acquisition of 3 Cellular Container vessels of 6500 TEU capacity.
Shares of the company declined Rs 5.25, or 3.15%, to trade at Rs 161.60. The total volume of shares traded was 42,499 at the BSE (1.31 p.m., Friday).
